PHILOSOPHY

What is a philosophy? It is a study of a fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when considered as an academic discipline. It is a particular system of a particular thought.

There are 3 philosophy:

1. National Philosophy of Education ( NPE )

2. Teaching for Science Philosophy

3. My own Philosophy

National Philosophy Of Education ( NPE )

In Malaysia, we have our National Philosophy Of Education. The National Philosophy of Education (NPE) acts as a guide for all educational activities in Malaysia. It sets the values and principles of the Malaysian education system from the primary to the tertiary level. 

The NPE explains the aims and objectives of the national education for the individual and the nation.  Its aims and objectives are in tandem, namely, to produce individuals who are knowledgeable and full of integrity who will contribute as responsible citizens.

Education is considered to be a basic and major process in developing individuals to be the key players in achieving the country’s aims and aspirations. With the NPE, the national education system has propelled to the forefront of education in the region.

Teaching For Science Philosophy

Since I am one of the Science student, I am pretty sure that there are also the Philosophy of Science. The philosophy states that it is a branch of philosophy concerned with the foundations, methods, and implications of science. The central questions of this study concern what qualifies as science, the reliability of scientific theories, and the ultimate purpose of science.

My own Philosophy

To be a good future educator, I must also have my own Teaching Philosophy. I have to be a good teacher in the future in order to educate my students through a better way in this developing country. Teaching always be my passion as I love to teach people very much, thus I think it’s not about how good your students are, but it’s about how you taught them in your own way. I will always explore and find new ways to let my students enjoy themselves in learning process.

For me, science subjects like Biology, Chemistry and Physics are not easy subject to score among the students. If you ask many students who in science stream class, three subject above will drive them into crazy. Although they are killer subject, many students still be able to score it.

So I will used more technology in my classroom. As we know in the future, technology will be more powerful instrument in education. As a teacher, I see this opportunity as a way to attract students by use video, simulation and data logger. This method make students to learn more and their understanding will be more excellent. Together with the development of individual in emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual can be achieve mostly in their inttellectual.
